  1. 01This Act may be cited as the Optometry Act.
  2. 02The Minister of Health and Wellness is responsible for the administration of this Act.
  3. 03For the purposes of this Act, "optometrist" means a person who is registered under this Act.
  4. 04A person who is not a registered optometrist shall not practice optometry in the Province.
  5. 05The College of Optometrists of Nova Scotia is established as a body corporate under this Act.
  6. 06The College shall have the power to register and regulate optometrists in the Province.
