By using integrityindex.ca (the "site") you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Integrity Index is an independent, non-partisan reference that aggregates the public record of Canadian federal and provincial representatives: financial disclosures, recorded votes, stock trades, lobbying communications, government contracts and related data. Every record links to the official source it was taken from.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any government, legislature, political party, candidate or elected official. Nothing on the site is an official publication of any public body.

We work from official sources and check our pipelines continuously, but public registers change, filings are amended and automated matching can make mistakes. Data may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Before relying on any figure, follow the source link on that record and confirm it with the official register.

The Integrity Score and letter grade are our editorial assessment, computed with the method published on our Methodology page. They are an opinion based on public data, not a finding of wrongdoing, and they should not be read as one.

Nothing on the site is legal, financial, investment or voting advice. Stock trades shown on a profile are disclosures made by a representative; they are not a recommendation to buy or sell anything.

Anyone, including a representative or their office, may ask us to review a record by writing to [email protected]. We re-check the official source and correct, annotate or remove the entry as the evidence warrants, and we note material corrections on the affected profile.

You may read, quote and share the site freely for personal, journalistic, academic and civic purposes. When you cite our figures, credit "Integrity Index (integrityindex.ca)" and, where practical, link to the page you used.

You may not:

• present our data or scores as an official government record or as a statement by any public body;
• use the site to harass, threaten or defame any person;
• run automated requests at a volume that degrades the site for other visitors, or circumvent our rate limits;
• remove or obscure source attributions when you reproduce our data;
• interfere with the site's security or with advertising served on it.

Bulk, commercial or programmatic reuse of our datasets is welcome by arrangement. Write to [email protected] and tell us what you plan to do.

The site's design, text, explanatory guides, glossary, blog articles and the Integrity Score methodology are ours and are protected by copyright. The underlying public records belong to the bodies that published them and remain subject to their own terms, such as the Open Government Licence – Canada where it applies. Our compilation and presentation of those records is ours.

The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisements are selected by Google and its partners, not by us, and their appearance on a page does not mean we endorse the advertiser or that the advertiser endorses us. Ads have no influence on which representatives or records we publish or how we score them. Our Privacy Policy explains the cookies advertising uses and how to opt out of personalized ads.

The site links extensively to official government and legislative websites and to other third parties. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Integrity Index and the people who build it are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything published on it. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about them will be brought in the courts of Ontario.
